Open Church

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to stay for the whole morning?
No - Open Church is like an Open House, you can arrive and leave whenever you want. You are welcome to stay for the whole morning if you would like to though. The last praise session is a great way to close the morning as we draw together and reflect on the theme of the day.
Can I bring my small children with me?
Absolutely - the Kid’s Praise session will be a great way to start the morning with them and there will be lots of activities in the upper hall that they can join in with or they can just enjoy playing with the toys up there. Do book a place in the kids video slot for your children if you want to hear Rosie Odhuba’s session by yourself. Apart from during the video, your children remain your responsibility throughout the morning.
Will there be anything for teenagers?
Definitely, all ages are welcome at all parts of the morning, the Exploring the Word talk session is aimed at School Years 7-13 and Bible Unpacked study session is for Years 3 - 6.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be refreshments available from 10am in the Upper Hall.
Is there a charge for attending?
No, it costs nothing to come along, if you would like to make a contribution towards the cost of refreshments & the craft activities there will be an offering taken during the praise sessions in the main church.
I don’t normally come to Redhill Baptist Church - can I still come to this?
Yes and we would love you to. The relaxed nature of the morning will make it easy to meet and chat with people and if you come to any of our mid week activities this is a great way to experience how we worship together.
Will there be anyone to help me?
Certainly - on the morning there will be Stewards available in the foyer who can help you find the sessions you’d like to get. Please ask if you need extra support, hearing loop etc.

Below is the programme for our most recent Open Church Service. We hold them three times a year and they follow a similar pattern each time, centred around different themes.
